I've been to some events and met famous people who tend to be a nightmare, one this year I won't name was a complete tosspot, made no effort and barely smiled at anyone. You guys are all so lovely and take the time which is wonderful. Going through divorce, selling my home, being made redundant, my Mum dying and NOW health problems all in just a few months, that programme has also helped me and made me laugh when I felt I never would, so thankyou

I attended the Red Dwarf event in 1997 with my youngest son and two of his friends. We had a wonderful time meeting you all and watching your antics. Every one of you were friendly and we have some lovely memories, and photos. My photo with you, Robert, didn't work first time and you were very kind and patient and I have a very special photo with you that you kindly posed for again.

It was great to meet you again in Nottingham this past weekend. Thank you for the many years of entertainment. I've laughed a lot, thanks to you and your colleagues, since that first episode I zapped in on Danish TV all those years ago.

I sincerely hope that someone outside of the general fandom might want to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first episode by producing the special Doug wrote that UKTV lost interest in. TLC seem to be trying to get into the warm seat Dave has vacated now it's U&Dave and dropped their comedy output, so who knows...

TLC have been wonderful recently and I agree that Red Dwarf would work a treat on there.

I still occasionally watch the odd episode, and it still makes me laugh out loud. It was wonderful then and still is! Thanks for all the laughs.

A poor man’s version of Star Trek, but SO funny, warming and stupidly silly, hope you all know what absolute legends you are.

As a fan from the beginning I can confirm that yes, I am a woman as well as being delightful, funny, friendly, kind, and considerate of others. The whole package! And you are all marvellous and have given us so many laughs over the years. My favourite RD moment was reading the book Last Human at the lunch table and being absolutely helpless with laughter over the multiple Polaroids when Kryten turns human. Being only in my teens at the time and from A Nice Family, I couldn’t explain to my family why I had tears streaming down my face.

Red Dwarf was the very first TV show I watched when I moved to England. January 1988 moved from Perth, Western Australia to London. Flicking through the channels with no TV guide available I came upon the Red Dwarf episode... loved it and the next day went to find a TV guide to see what I'd been watching... all these years later I now have a all the DVDs and watch them regularly...

Something that might be of interest. It's James Doohan who played Scotty in Star Trek. Who talks of receiving a letter. You never realize the effect you can have on people in life.

Getting to meet you and discuss the perils of nude modelling for art classes, was such a high point in an awful awful weekend. I won’t complain to you about it as it’s not your fault, but I can’t say I’m keen to come to another convention after experiencing this one.

Stay adorable 💋

Hi Robert, long term reader, longer term watcher (old enough to have seen Series 1 of Red Dwarf ‘live’ on BBC2.) You seem like the kind of guy I can ask, have you ever done a guide to buying second hand electric vehicles? Maybe the Nissan NV 200 in particular? I have a rough idea what to look and listen for with petrol and diesel but as this will be my first time buying electric I could do with some pointers so all the in my life don’t laugh if I get ripped off by a lemon. Love and thanks in advance.

It's almost as if you were in the office the other day. This is our big autumn project, there are now so many 2nd hand EVs available, we want to start a little segment about how good, often how cheap, and what good value 2nd hand EVs are, and yes, including vans

Thank you for your swift reply and good to hear it’s in the pipeline, but for this Saturday coming, any pointers? I was going to insist on a test drive to the nearest charing station and be shown it taking charge. (I had a friend caught out back when LPG was the thing, they accidentally got stitched up NPG!)

We loved seeing you this weekend! Hopefully we'll get to make the trip across the pond again for the anniversary!

'53 doors?!' A lovely warm post, Robert. I believe I still have the first few seasons on VHS somewhere... looking forward to 2028!
