Ah I hear you. We all need a break from the media and it detailing all the bad things in the world as that makes headlines more than good stories for starters. I'm always one for thinking about the little things we can do in our own corner of the world, because we cannot control some of the more renowned lunatics in power. In my current job of mental health promotion worker, working with schools, families, helping them to, as per my current project "grow stronger together" we use art just as one way forward. In speaking to people, raising awareness and helping others it really keeps me grounded and helps me to realise not everything is bad, not everyone is.
Having said that, I too need a rant sometimes, we all do! It's also why a lot of us are here, to gladly read your thoughts.
BTW, must be awful in the heat. I can't get warm and am trying desperately to avoid the colds, viruses, covid and flu that has been going round haha!
A well written and considered article there Rob. I too find the current affairs of today's world winds me up, and one has to find the time to let that anger dissipate.
I genuinely do not remember ever being warm. But then, I did move somewhere with 7 months of winter. I guess it's my own fault. And in July, I will probably have no memory of being cold, so I shall stop moaning now :)
Hi Roberino, revisit the ASHP for your house....truly is fabulous. I have finally ditched the toxic, explosieeeve nasty gas, you could have a sort of "Hybrid" system where your Tepeo only fills in where it needs to...Ask Adam from Heat Geeks to do a Survey and You Tube it....Please....it shines a brighter light on how good these devices are if done with a proper heat loss survey and heat geek install.... go on...
I really enjoyed this particular article, Robert; your underlying sentiment and understanding as well as striving to put aside unreasonable thoughts and work for the better good of all. As a buddhist I am great admirer of the Dalai Lama. And though the two do not need to go hand in hand they often do. It is a delight not to have rants in this world, but see gentle persuasive arguements from such as HHDL and a resultant dawning amongst those that have not previously seen the issues or conceived that they may have the ability to change things themselves. David Michie, South Africa born writer, who lived and worked in UK and now lives in Perth, Australia, is such a persuasive writer for worldly good. I am not sure what his stance is on EV's but I'm sure you'll enjoy his insight on writing and life. He is on Substack, too! A worthy subscription for quiet contemplative reading.
Enjoy the sun and peace. Wishing I was in Oz right about now as global warming makes flooding bad around me.

I'm all for more positivity, but it MUST be interspersed with the odd rant for which you are famous for. Keep er lit.
